Thanks for Visiting!

Some artists complete their paintings with broad strokes and great spontaneous outbursts, abstraction and impressionism, evoking great emotions or realism that mocks a camera. And while I appreciate all that, I'm not one of them.

Here you will find artwork of a definitely more fussy type. Lots of blank ink from brushes and those little technical pens and watermedia are used to create a variety of "engineered artworks." The gallery is broken into general groupings, which I invite you to browse. For any visitors who are fans of counted cross stitch embroidery, you'll want to see the Ink Circles site, where I've created a number of special designs to be recreated with thread and linen.

New work:

Yellow Dog. This is the first time I've taken colored pencils seriously to task. I found the colorless blender pencil to be a fabulous tool.

Here is a short video that we made (my son helped with the production) that shows a time lapse of the steps of my painting a mandala. So, if you are curious as to my process, I hope this gives you a hint. Thanks for watching it.

Here is a recent mandala painting:

I've got an Etsy shop where I sell prints, originals, and items such as notecards featuring my artwork. Please visit me there. Visit the gallery pages to see the newly added mandala paintings.

All works have been completely hand-drawn, hand-inked, and painted using artist quality materials. Contact me to purchase original artwork. Custom creations are available upon request.
